Sol Kadhi
As we are approaching
towards the monsoon season, we might have missed bingeing on some of our
favourite summer drinks. Out of many fancy drinks, one of the coolest and
extremely refreshing drink is, Maharashtra’s traditional - Sol Kadhi.
Well, for
those who haven’t heard of Sol Kadhi or have never ever tasted it, here is a
chance to make this super cool drink at home and trust me, it’s very simple!

Ingredients:
1½ bowl- Coconut milk
½ bowl- Kokam extract also known as kokam aagal in Marathi
3-4 leaves- Mint leaves
1 green chilli
½ inch- ginger
10 to 15 leaves of coriander
2 tbsp- Jeera powder
½ tsp- Black pepper powder
¼ tsp- salt
½ tbsp- rock salt (kala namak)
½ tbsp- rock salt (kala namak)
1 ¼ th glass (300 ml) of chilled water
Ice- optional

Method:
In a chutney mixer pot add- Mint leaves, green chilli, ginger,
coriander, jeera powder and ¼ th cup of water. In a large bowl pour coconut milk,
kokam aagal and add the freshly made chutney. Now mix, black pepper powder and
salt into it. Give it a nice stir and refrigerate it for half an hour.
Pour this deliciously looking- pink colour mixture into the
serving glass, top it with coriander. If you wish you can add ice into it.
Tip- Sol Kadhi can taste best only if it is chilled
