Choco-Date Milkshake

When my mom is running behind me for making me eat dates, I come up with zillion of reasons to avoid it. But then gulping down that brown-looking gooey thing has become a necessity now-a-days especially taking in account the health issues we encounter every day. Dates are highly rich in vitamins, minerals & fibre hence why I incorporated dates with chocolate in the most amazing way.

Soaking Time: 8-10 hrs

Ingredients:
3 seedless dates which is soaked overnight
5 tbsp of chocolate syrup
½ tbsp sugar
250 ml chilled milk
2 ice cubes

Method:
If you don’t have pitted dates, remove the seeds and soak date overnight in a bowl of milk; make sure you place this bowl of soaked date in refrigerator or the milk might split and spoil your entire milkshake.

In mixer’s chutney pot add the soaked soggy dates with 3 tbsp of milk, grind them together till it becomes a light brown-coloured paste. Add more milk if you don’t find the consistency smooth.

The major part is done. Now you just need to blend milk, freshly made date’s paste, chocolate syrup, sugar and ice together. Pour it in a snifter glass and garnish it with choco chips.

Dates are naturally sweet and chocolate syrup also contains certain amount of sugar in it, so this milkshake is a perfect saviour to pacify your sweet cravings.
