Recipe: Choco Wedges

Since childhood we had been getting inevitable suggestions for staying away from chocolates! That too for a typical cliché reason which is the fear on getting cavities. But then if you are true chocolate lover like me it’s hard to stay away from the rich and divine flavour of chocolate.

Choco Wedge is delicious, chocolaty, crispy and extremely simple for those who don’t usually cook.

Ingredients:

100 gm Milk Chocolate or Milk Compound

100 gm Dark Chocolate or Dark Compound

20 gm White Chocolate or White Compound

8-10 Marie biscuits or any light salted biscuit

Method

Place a wide skillet pan with about one inch of water on a burner. In a large stainless steel bowl add both chocolate bars; place this bowl into the water and turn on the flame. Once started to simmer turn off the flame, let the chocolate bowl rest into hot water and gently give it a stir. After few minutes check if the chocolate is melted and with no lumps left; if not melted properly repeat the process by gently heating it again. A single drop of water can entirely ruin your chocolate so make sure that yo don't spill water or milk while placing the bowl into the water. This procedure of melting chocolate is called is called double-boiling method.

Meanwhile cut the marie biscuits in two halves. This is a little painstaking task, be patient and gentle on the knife while cutting through the biscuits.

Now that you’ve melted the chocolate, dip these biscuits into hot melted chocolate and deep freeze it for 10 minutes.

Melt white chocolate in a separate bowl by repeating the exact same double boiling procedure. Pour the white melted chocolate in the piping bag and slightly cut the end. Once your Choco wedges are set, remove it from the deep freezer; grab the piping bag and draw any design of your choice. So what if you are not good at painting, just follow your imagination and draw any random patterns on it. When the art job is done, deep freeze it again for 5 minutes.

Ta-da…. Choco Wedges are ready to serve!
